Applications MUST be received at the Junior Achievement Office by 4:00 pm MONDAY, APRIL 2, 2018. Applications can be downloaded or filled out online at www.jaonline.org/studentscholarships
• 12th grade student in Stark, Tuscarawas or Carroll county.
• Participation in at least one Junior Achievement program at any grade level K-12.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for work readiness, entrepreneurship, or a specific career pathway as a result of participation through Junior Achievement.
• Academic achievement with a grade point of 3.0 or above.
• Demonstration that Junior Achievement was instrumental in their educational development.
• Ability to succeed in college or career pathway.
Our local office offers one-time awards to high school seniors who have participated in JA programs in Stark County, Tuscarawas can Carroll counties.
The minimum award amount is $1,000. The JA Scholarship Committee will make final award decisions.
Quota International of Massillon
Quota International, Inc. is a service organization whose primary area of service is to people with speech and hearing impairments. Quota International of Massillon is offering two $2000 College Scholarships for the 2018/2019 school year - The Candy Lautenschleger Memorial Scholarship and The Darrelyn Bursey Memorial Scholarship. Each scholarship will be given to a student who is either deaf/hearing impaired, or who is pursuing a career in the field of speech and hearing or deaf education. Paul & Carol David Foundation Scholar Program - www.davidscholar.org
The David Scholar Program awards annual scholarships to eligible students attending an accredited college or university in the United States. The purpose of the program is to aid and assist qualified graduating high school students from Stark County who, due to significant financial constraints, would find it difficult to further their education. The annual scholarship award is $7,000, renewable for up to four years for a total of $28,000. See your school counselor for more information. Deadline April 15, 2018

The William D. Squires Scholarship has been increased from $3,000 per year to $4,000 for our 15 new recipients.
This scholarship is a renewable financial need-based undergraduate scholarship and now has a maximum value up to $16,000. Applicant's EFC from F AFSA must be less than 7,000 to apply. Ideal candidates must already know their career goal and are highly motivated, but require financial assistance to pursue their dream of a higher education. The national ASM Foundation local chapter provides a $1,500 nonrenewable grant to one graduating high school senior in either Stark or Carroll County planning to pursue a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline. Interested students are asked to complete the simple application and mail to Mrs. Stephanie Helline - her address is on the application. This is not a need based scholarship; it is based solely on merit. Applicants must have an ACT Composite Score of at least 28. The scholarship winner will be notified in late May 2018. Complete applications be postmarked no later than April 27, 2018.
Josette Beddell Memorial Foundation - www.josettememorial.org
This scholarship is rooted in the ideals of Josette Beddell, who lost her battle with breast cancer but lived her life working to better the community she lived in. The foundation will award a $500 renewable scholarship to a Stark County senior who will be attending a 2 or 4 year college in the fall of 2018. Students must have a 2.5 GPA or higher and have a parent/guardian with or recovering from breast cancer. Deadline June 1, 2018

This renewable scholarship will range in amount from $1500-$4700 per academic year. Students who wish to pursue an associate or bachelor degree in a STEMM field (science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or medicine) are eligible to apply for scholarships from one of 45 Ohio colleges, universities, or technical schools.
