Great Clips Cosmetology - Deadline, March 31, 2017
Great Clips provides over $100,000 in scholarships and professional tools to cosmetology students each year! The scholarship award and professional tools are valued between $250 - $1,500. All applications must be received on the Site by March 31, 2017.
Spangenberg Law Firm - March 31, 2017
The Spangenberg Law Firm invites students who will be enrolled in college next fall and who share our passion about important societal issues to participate in our 2017 Video PSA Scholarship Contest. This contest challenges entrants to create an original, compelling, and impactful 30-60 second video public service announcement (PSA) that engages its viewers, inspires them to become part of the solution, and addresses one of the following topics:
Ohio Newspaper Foundation - Deadline March 31, 2017
The Ohio Newspapers Foundation will award two scholarships of $2,000 each to students who are enrolled in an Ohio college or university and majoring in a field relevant to our industry, particularly journalism, advertising, marketing, or communications degree program.
Slater & Zurz Attorneys & Counselors at law - Due March 31, 2017
To be eligible for the scholarship, a student must be a high school senior who will be graduating at the end of this school year and who will be attending a college or university located in Ohio.
The students will have two options for the topic of their YouTube video. The first option requires the student to address an existing law in the State of Ohio that needs to be changed and then tell why the change is necessary. The second option requires the student to create a new law that would benefit the community and then tell how that new law will impact the community and that impact is important students are encouraged to be creative, logical, and persuasive in support of their topic with both their video submission and written essay. Video submissions should range between 2 and 3 minutes and written essays should be between 500 and 1,000 words.
Drs. Bernard and Eimer Annual Scholarship Award - March 31, 2017
The Dr. Bernard and Dr. Eimer Orthodontics office is offering three $1000 scholarships to seniors who have been (or are being) treated by their practice. A five-hundred word essay on “A Vision of My Future after High School” is required. This scholarship is not based on grades or financial need. See file attached.
Richard T. Naples, Sr. Education Foundation - Deadline March 31, 2017
The Richard T. Naples, Sr. Education Foundation will award scholarships in the amount of $800 to twenty five students who reside in Trumbull, Mahoning, or Stark County. Students who will be attending colleges, universities, trade schools, or vocational schools are eligible and encouraged to apply. A minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale is required.
Stark Community Foundation - Deadline April 1, 2017
Starting in January, students can begin applying for scholarships for the 2017-2018 Academic Year through Stark Community Foundation's Application Portal. The application deadline for the majority of the Foundation's scholarships is April 1. Stark Community Foundation is one of the area's major sources of college scholarship support. Offering more than 80 diverse scholarships, these opportunities are made possible by generous and caring individuals, families and businesses to benefit students from particular geographic areas or schools, attending certain universities or entering certain fields of study.
Italian-American Festival Foundation - Deadline April 1, 2017
The Italian American Festival Foundation of Stark County will be awarding a total of $8,000 in college scholarships to high school graduates. Students will be judged on a basis of need, scholastic ability, extracurricular involvement and character. Along with the application, students must submit a written essay and a letter of recommendation from a Senior Year Faculty Member. Applicants must be of Italian decent and graduating Stark County senior.

Canton Preservation Society - Deadline April 1, 2017
The Canton Preservation Society’s annual $1000 scholarship provides financial assistance to a Stark County student preparing for a career in/or related to Historic Preservation. Eligible students must be enrolling in a technical or undergraduate program in Building Preservation, History, Architecture, American Studies, Urban Planning, or Museum Studies. The student’s eligibility will be based partly on financial need.
William D. Squires Education Foundation - Deadline April 5, 2017 www.wmdsquiresfoundation.org
The William D. Squires Education Foundation is offering 15 scholarships to seniors in Ohio and each scholarship is worth up to $12,000. This scholarship is primarily financial need-based. This year, applicants must have an EFC (Expected Financial Contribution) under $8000. The EFC amount will be noted on your completed FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR). Candidates must have a minimum 3.2 GPA and be working toward a specific career goal.
Quota International - Deadline April 7, 2017
Quota International of Canton Ohio is pleased to announce the availability of scholarships. Each year our organization provides scholarships to qualified Stark County students of good academic standing who are entering the field of communication disorders, speech pathology, speech and hearing science, audiology or deaf education. The scholarships of $1,000 will be awarded for the fall of 2017. Applicants can also be speech or hearing impaired majoring in any field. Selection criteria are more fully described here.
Knights of Columbus - Deadline April 11, 2017
We are offering a $1,000.00 scholarship to any high school senior who meets all 5 of the following requirements:
1) Be a high school senior who will graduate in 2016.
2) Minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0.
3) The money must be used to further your education.
4) You must be accepted and start school the same year you graduate.
5) Satisfy at least 1 of the following criteria (applicants who meet more than 1 of
these criteria will be given additional consideration):
a. A Canton South H.S. student and an active member of one of the following Canton Catholic parishes: St. Anthony’s / All Saints or St. Mary’s / St. Benedict’s.

Canton Township Fire Department Association - Deadline April 14, 2017
You will use pages 9-11 from the 2017 Canton Local Common Scholarship Application as well as Appendix A for a teacher referral. All materials must be returned to Student Services by 2:30pm on April 14th in a manilla envelop clearly marked with your name and the name of the scholarship.
John E. Harris 111 - Architectural Scholarship Award - Deadline April 14, 2017 (file)
Presented annually to a Stark County high school student entering an accredited school of architecture, and whose character demonstrates outstanding leadership and creative potential. This scholarship is awarded in recognition of John E. Harris' commitment to quality architecture, community service, and ongoing mentoring of architectural students and interns. These leadership traits have served as the foundation for Sol Harris/Day Architects' success and growth over the past 45+ years.

Up to twenty $1000 AADE scholarships are being offered for the 2017-2018 academic year. The Appalachian Chapter of the AADE is utilizing these scholarships to encourage college bound high school seniors to consider a career in the oil and gas industry. This scholarship is NOT being limited to Petroleum Engineering majors; or for that matter, engineering majors. These scholarships will be awarded based on academic excellence, financial need and extenuating circumstances.
Homer Unkefer Agriculture Scholarship - Deadline April 15, 2017 (file)
Consumers National Bank created the Homer Unkefer Agriculture Scholarship program and will award $2,000 in tuition assistance to individuals pursuing secondary education in an agricultural related profession.

Paul & Carol David Foundation Scholar Program - Deadline April 15, 2017
The David Scholar Program awards annual scholarships to eligible students attending an accredited college or university in the United States. The purpose of the program is to aid and assist qualified graduating high school students from Stark County who, due to significant financial constraints, would find it difficult to further their education. The annual Scholarship award for the 2015 class of David Scholars is $7,000, renewable for up to four years for a total of $28,000.
Tiny Tots Preschool Scholarship - April 21, 2017 (file)
Tiny Tots Preschool is awarding one $250 scholarship to a graduating senior of a Stark County high school. The applicant must have attended Tiny Tots. The award can be applied to any form of education or training and is not need based.
ASM International Engineering - April 28, 2017 (File)
The Canton-Massillon Chapter of ASM International is offering one $1500 scholarship to a Stark or Carroll County graduating senior. The student must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering for the 2017 fall semester. A minimum ACT composite of 28 is required. The scholarship is nonrenewable and not a need based award.
International Canton-Massillon Chapter - April 28, 2017
ASM International is the professional society for the science and engineering of materials.
A significant focus of our professional society is to financially support students studying engineering at a university. Local chapter provides a $1,500 non-renewable grant to one graduating high school senior in either Stark or Carroll County planning to pursue a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline . This is not a need based scholarship: it is based solely on merit. Applicants must have an ACT composite score of at least 28.
Diebold Federal Credit Union- April 30, 2017
The DFCU scholarship is a one-time scholarship to be awarded in 2017. It may be offered again in subsequent years based on the availability of funds. To qualify for a one-time scholarship, an applicant must be at least a high school senior and in pursuit of post-secondary education of any kind, including professional, vocational, and academic studies not limited to colleges and universities.
Diebold Federal Credit Union employees, board members and committee members and their family members are eligible for scholarship opportunities. Scholarship applicant must be a member of the Diebold Federal Credit Union and at least a senior in high school.

Unique Club of Stark County - May 26, 2017
The Unique Club of Stark County will award a minimum of $10,000 in college scholarships for the 2017 - 2018 scholastic year. The scholarships are awarded on the basis of financial need, scholastic ability, and character and will be awarded to Applicants of Italian descent residing in Stark County who graduated from a Stark County High School. The Club has awarded over 300 scholarships valued in excess of $400,000 since the organization was formed in 1958.
