New to GetFit
Who: Staff for Individual and Building Challenge
Timeline: January 3 – March 19 (76 days)
Cost: $15 includes GetFit Dri-Fit Shirt
Registration Deadline: January 5
Purpose: Lose weight, improve eating habits, and strive to be your best in 76 days.
Staff dress for Canton Local Staff paid participants:
Wear your Get Fit shirt (until delivered - wear school logo shirt) with workout pants/tennis shoes on Mondays during the challenge. Goal for this day is to dress as professional as a physical education teacher.
Points per day awarded:
*Drink 1/2 of your body weight in ounces of water – 2 points
*Eat 5 or more servings (1 cup = 1 serving) of vegetables and fruit – 2 points (2 points = 5 servings)
*Purchase a GetFit lunch from the cafeteria – 2 points
*Give up an unhealthy food choice or beverage – 2 points
*Exercise – 30 minutes with an elevated heart rate – 2 points (for each 30 minutes of exercise)
*Buddy work out/Building-led event/organized class (work out with a buddy, building group walk, Zumba, yoga,
class at gym. Etc.) – 5 points
*Record number of sit-ups and push-ups daily
1. At the end of each week (Tuesday – Monday) you register your points on the Tally Sheet via a Google Form located on our website (http://www.cantonlocal.org/GetFit/aspx) by noon on Wednesday.
2. Weekly winners and overall building standing will be posted on the GetFit webpage (http://www.cantonlocal.org/GetFit/aspx) and will be in the Weekly Guide.
3. Weekly Awards: Weekly total point winner will receive a Gift Certificate.
