Canton Local Implements Olweus Bullying Prevention Program
On November 4, 2012, the Anti-Bullying provisions from SB 116 took effect for all school districts in Ohio.  Canton Local Schools is proud to be implementing a highly regarded, nationally recognized, comprehensive prevention program entitled, Olweus Bullying  prevention program.  
CS Student Tessa Hollinger 2nd Place in Essay Contest
CS sophomore Tessa Hollinger won 2nd place for her essay "There Ought To Be A Law" in the Stark County Bar Association Essay Contest.  Read her essay. 
Great News for Canton Local and Sandy Valley ... grant from ODE!
Canton Local Schools is excited to announce that they have received notification of a grant for Third Grade Guarantee Early Literacy and Reading Readiness.  The grant for $193,000 will be shared with Sandy Valley Schools to work in partnership to input a program they have developed together to improve the early literacy and reading readiness in students.

April 29th Deborah Urban was named Canton Local Teacher of the Year and Stephanie Berardo was named Canton Local Rookie!  Congratulations to these teachers!

CS Baseball Field to be officially named the Tim Miller Field!
The Canton Local Board of Education announced Monday, March 11th the naming of the CS Baseball Field to the Tim Miller Field.  More information for the Tim Miller Baseball Field Dedication Weekend Event Schedule will be updated on this site.
